Always carry a Compass and Thermometer when exploring new biomes. Temperature drops signal depth changes, and the compass helps you find your way back to base.
🌿 Shallow Biomes (0-100m)
Arctic Kelp Forest
The starting biome. Dense kelp forests with moderate resources and friendly fauna. Safe for beginners.
0-50m 2-5°CTwisty Bridges
Iconic coral bridges with hidden caves underneath. Good early-game resource spot.
30-90m 3-6°C🌊 Mid-Depth Biomes (100-300m)
Deep Twisty Bridges
Darker, more dangerous version of Twisty Bridges. Home to aggressive predators.
100-250m 1-3°CSquidsharks patrol this biome aggressively. Bring a Seatruck with perimeter defense or a Prawn Suit for protection. Never swim here without a vehicle.
Thermal Spires
Hydrothermal vents with extreme heat. Rich in rare minerals but requires heat protection.
150-300m 40-80°C🌑 Deep Biomes (300m+)
Crystal Caves
Stunning crystal formations with bioluminescent flora. High-value resources but extreme danger.
300-500m 0-2°CShadow Leviathans inhabit this biome. These are the most dangerous creatures in the game. Do NOT enter without a fully upgraded Prawn Suit or Seatruck with defense module.
World Edge
The abyssal drop-off at the map boundary. Nothing but darkness and death.
800m+ -2°CDO NOT ENTER. Ghost Leviathans spawn here.
🏔️ Surface Biomes
Arctic Spires
Above-water ice formations. Required for story progression. Extreme cold hazard.
-20 to -10°CGlacier Bay
Large frozen bay with icebergs. Contains important story locations.
-15 to -5°C🕳️ Cave Systems
Koppa Mining Site
Abandoned mining caves with rich mineral deposits and alien artifacts.
